Carteret, NJ – On Friday, July 1st The Borough of Carteret will host its annual Independence Day celebration, welcoming thousands of residents and visitors to Veterans Pier at Waterfront Park to celebrate the birth of the United States of America.
The celebration will begin at 6 PM and end at 12 Midnight. There will be activities for the kids, food vendors and a beer/wine garden. DJ Smith will be playing throughout the evening. In addition to the DJ, Eaglemania, an Eagles-tribute rock band will be featured from 7:30 PM till 9 PM. The fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:15 PM and will last 15-20 minutes. The Carteret Independence Day celebration usually attracts 7,000 to 10,000 spectators.
“This is always a great event and another testament to the potential of the waterfront in Carteret,” Said Mayor Reiman.
Parking will be limited and residents are encouraged to utilize our shuttles to and from Waterfront Park. The shuttle will run from 6PM – 12 PM and can be found at the following locations:
• Carteret Public Library (100 Cooke Ave)
• Civic Center Parking Lot (Pershing Ave)
• Minue School (83 Post Boulevard)
