Carteret, NJ – Mayor Daniel J. Reiman and the Borough of Carteret are currently accepting vendors and sponsors for three annual Summer festivals – Independence Day on July 3, Latin Fest on July 27, and Ethnic Day on September 21.
“Carteret comes together as a community each year, attracting thousands to our Waterfront and Carteret Parks,” said Mayor Reiman. “Our vendors are at the center of each event, stimulating our local economy, and offering all the best food and products our area has to offer.”
Carteret’s Independence Day Festival is held each year at the Borough’s beautiful Waterfront Park on July 3rd. It attracts thousands of vendors and one of the region’s greatest fireworks displays, as well as live music to celebrate America’s birthday.
Latin Fest, scheduled for July 27 at Waterfront Park, will features live performances from top Latin acts, folkloric dances, vendors, fireworks, and many other activities. Last year’s event packed Waterfront Park and was great exposure for all companies involved.
Ethnic Day, the culmination of Mayor Reiman’s Charity Carnival, features a top international musical act each year, and has been a Carteret tradition for over 40 years. This year it will take place on September 21 and is sure to attract thousands of people.
Vendors may sell food or family-friendly novelties. The Borough reserves the right to deny vendors if duplicate goods are offered.
The Borough offers discounts for vendors participating in more than one festival, as well as for Carteret residents, and non-profits. The non-resident vendor fee is $75 for one festival, $140 for two festivals, and $200 for three festivals. The resident vendor fee is $50 for one festival, $90 for two festivals, and $125 for three festivals. Non-profits are $35 for one festival, $60 for two festivals, and $80 for three festivals. Interested vendors must provide the required registration form, along with a fire permit, Board of Health Application, Certificate for Food or Food Handlers Permit, and all their own tables, lights, generators, extension cords, and price list. The Borough is also accepting sponsors for Latin Fest, which features live band performances from top Latin Acts, folkloric dances, vendors, fireworks, and many other activities. Last year’s Latin Fest packed Waterfront Park and offered great exposure for all companies involved. This year’s sponsorships include:
$3,000 Title Sponsorship, which offers representation in all media and printed materials about the event, a commencement speech acknowledging the contribution, and a 10×20 booth space in a prime location at the event;
$1,500 Sponsorship, which includes acknowledgment at the event, and in all media and printed materials;
$500 Contributor, which includes representation on the large stage banner at the event.
